Vibration Control System SETPOINT

 

Vibration Measurement System SETPOINT  is a multichannel system  which provides  measurement of  both  absolute vibration (acceleration, velocity and displacement) and radial vibration (axial thrust, relative thermal case expansion) also shaft speed, and temperature. 

The main principle of the system is a constant  analog date collection from sensors, signal amplification,and calculating additional parameters which cannot be measured directly. These values are continually comparing to threshold values (parameters called  alarm set-point and warning set-point). 

System can accept  majority of industrial standard sensors and transmitters including eddy-current probes, thermocouples and RTDs.

Vibration control system has a modular structure and consists of several base modules: rack connection module RCM (power supply), system access module SAM (data communication), universal monitoring module UMM), temperature monitoring module TMM (connection of thermocouples, RTDs and current loop (4-20 mA) sensors).

 

The SETPOINT Rack optionally supports a color touchscreen display module mounted on the rack  for a visual control  of all data values collected and calculated  by the SETPOINT and proper  channel functioning.

The SETPOINT rack is available in three sizes: 

  • A 19” full size rack with 16 slots( up to 14 UMMs/TMMs)
  • An 8 slot half-sized rack ( up to 6 UMMs/TMMs)
  • A 4 slot, compact rack  (up to 2 UMMs/TMMs)

Each monitoring module has input channels  for measurement transducers connection, output channels which can provide transformation of input signal to  unified  4-20 mA output signal for connection to PLC/  or  provide buffered signals without  input signal transformation. 

Standard PC or laptop can be used for rack configuration.

 

Vibration Control System SETPOINT is certified  in Russian Federation as measurement instrument and included in State Register (GOSREESTR) under #49383-12

 

Vibration Control System  SETPOINT™ components:

  1. Chassis.  Provides  protection and  interconnection of all  modules, supports up to 60  vibration channels,  13 speed channels, or 90 temp. channels. 4,8,or 16 –module rack type allows  to choose best version for customer’s need. The SETPOINT rack has an optional locking door to prevent tampering with wiring and network lines. The door supports an optional color touchscreen display module.
  2. The Universal Monitoring Module (UMM) .SETPOINT rack  supports up to 14  UMM modules ( depending on rack size)  Each UMM provides all necessary transducer power, signal conditioning, alarm comparison, and relay logic functions needed to provide four channels of continuous machinery monitoring, 4-20 mA output signals control,  and data transmission to SAM module. 
    Vibration control system supports two main measurement  modules : Universal  Monitoring Module (UMM) and  Temperature  Monitoring Module (TMM). UMM  provides  measurement  of  absolute and  radial vibration, axial thrust. TMM accepts temperature data ( thermocouples  and RTDs). 
  3. SAM module.  Provides  a convenient interface for all modules configuration, connection to local network and touchscreen display, alarms and events logging  and link to machinery  diagnostical computer.
  4. Optional  color touchscreen display.
  5. Power supply. SETPOINT uses  +24VDC  power supply.  Different types of power supplies can be offered by « SETPOINT  vibration»  with  AC and DC  input. 
  6. Computer with Setpoint configuration software installed.
